Adults and CPD

Animation Jam teaches animation to adults at all levels and provides Continuing Professional Development for professionals who are thinking of using animation with their client group.  Jim Stirk has provided CPD sessions for primary and secondary teachers throughout Scotland and in Yorkshire, and for occupational therapists at Leverndale Hospital in Glasgow.  He has also delivered workshops for adults who simply have an interest in trying animation for themselves.  Examples include workshops introducing a range of techniques for the Filmhouse Cinema in Edinburgh and the Shetland Film Festival.

How it works

Animation Jam CPD sessions are adaptable to participants’ schedules and circumstances: they can be delivered in short sessions spread over a longer timescale if needed.  Participants are introduced to animation techniques and helped to develop their ideas into a practical project.  This could be a project that they deliver themselves or a collaborative project with Animation Jam.

Animation workshops for adults are often held as part of film festivals or cinema education programmes but they are suitable for any venue.  All equipment and materials are provided.
